The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and NOAA Fisheries will host a public listening session on June 11th from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in Freehold, New Jersey. Stakeholders are invited to attend the listening session in person or via webinar to provide input for NOAA Fisheries' new recreational saltwater fishing policy.

The Council will hold its next listening session on Tuesday, August 13 in Wilmington, Delaware. The topic will be Offshore Wind Power and Mid-Atlantic Fisheries. Dr. Jeremy Firestone, Professor of Marine Policy and Legal Studies at the University of Delaware, will discuss recent developments in wind power siting and construction and how they may affect fisheries and fishing communities.

Recreational fishermen and other members of the public are invited to participate in an informal discussion with the Council about recent and upcoming changes in the Marine Recreational Information Program (MRIP). The listening session will be held on April 9 in Raleigh, NC in conjunction with the Council’s April Meeting.
