NOAA Fisheries Announces Interim Management Measures for Blueline Tilefish in the Greater Atlantic Region

NOAA Fisheries has announced interim management measures for the blueline tilefish fishery in the Greater Atlantic Region. The interim measures, which go into effect on Friday, June 17 for vessels fishing north of the Virginia/North Carolina border, are the same as the previous emergency measures that expired on June 3.

South Atlantic Council to Hold Public Hearings for Proposed Federal Fisheries Management Measures

The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council is soliciting public input on measures affecting fishermen as far north as New England.  Public hearings have been scheduled in November for interested stakeholders to provide comments on Snapper Grouper Regulatory Amendment 25 and Dolphin Wahoo Regulatory Amendment 1

Council to Hold Blueline Tilefish Webinar Meeting - Feb. 25, 1:30 p.m.

The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council  will hold an emergency meeting via webinar on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 from 1:30 until 4:30 p.m. to consider requesting emergency action for deepwater snapper/grouper species, including blueline tilefish, within the Mid-Atlantic Council’s jurisdiction.
