Mackerel, Squid, Butterfish Monitoring Committee Meeting

The Mackerel, Squid, Butterfish Monitoring Committee Meeting will meet Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. This meeting will be conducted via webinar.

Meeting Objectives:

  1. Review recent fishery performance and management measure recommendations from the Advisory Panel, the Scientific and Statistical Committee, and Council staff;

  2. Review, and if appropriate, recommend changes to the previously implemented 2022 annual catch limit (ACL), annual catch target (ACT), total allowable landings limit (TAL), and other management measures.

Mackerel, Squid, Butterfish Monitoring Committee Meeting (Webinar)

The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council's Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Monitoring Committee will meet via webinar on Wednesday September 16, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to discuss catch and landings limits and other management measures for Atlantic chub mackerel in 2021. The objectives of this meeting are for the Monitoring Committee to: 1) Review recent fishery performance and management measure recommendations from the Advisory Panel, the Scientific and Statistical Committee, and Council staff; 2) Review, and if appropriate, recommend changes to the previously implemented 2021 annual catch limit, annual catch target, total allowable landings limit, and other management measures.

Mackerel, Squid, Butterfish Advisory Panel Meeting (Webinar)

The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council’s Mackerel, Squid, and Butterfish Advisory Panel will meet via webinar on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.The purpose of this meeting is to discuss recent performance of the Atlantic chub mackerel fisheries and develop a Fishery Performance Report. This report will be considered by the Scientific and Statistical Committee, the Monitoring Committee, and the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council when reviewing 2021 catch and landings limits and management measures for chub mackerel.
